No child should go without – We are here to help

Love, Amelia works all year round to support vulnerable families in our community by distributing new and great quality, pre-loved items for children aged from birth up to 16 years. We can support with items including clothing, nappies, toiletries, baby equipment, toys and prams.  Each bundle is tailored to the needs of the family – there is no one size fits all.

How it works:

We work on a referral basis which means we are not able to accept self-referrals or requests from friends or family members.  We can accept referrals from professionals working families in an official capacity.  This includes midwives, social workers, health visitors, welfare support, housing workers, nursery, schools, children’s centres.

If you are in need of help, please speak directly to a professional and ask they make a referral on your behalf.  This can be your midwife, health visitor, social worker, nursery, support worker or other professional supporting you.

There is no charge for our service but items will need to be collected from our unit in Hendon, Sunderland

The Referral Process

1. Please only complete a referral if you are a professional working directly with a family in need who live within Tyne & Wear or County Durham.  We will not accept self referrals, or requests on behalf of friends or family.

2. Please use the online form below to submit your referral,, ensuring you include all relevant information to enable to process the request quickly.

3. You will receive an email from our team confirming we have received your referral.  We may need to ask further information in order to fulfil the request and will contact you on the email or phone number you provide.

4. Once the referral has been carefully packed by our team, we will contact you, or the nominated person, to collect the items.  Larger requests may require transport such as a car.  We kindly ask referrals are collected as soon as possible as we have limited storage space and are unable to hold them for long periods.
