This year we celebrated women in Wearside who are making a significant impact in their respective fields and communities as we attended the inaugural Wear Businesswomen Awards. The event, organised by Wear Business in collaboration with the University of Sunderland, recognised outstanding women across various categories, showcasing their remarkable contributions to both business and community development. We are not only proud to attend an event celebrating women and our wonderful City of Sunderland, but also as we honoured to win the Charity / Voluntary award.
Since Love, Amelia registered as a charity in 2019, we have become an integral part of our community, putting the families we serve at the heard of all we do. The Wear Businesswomen Awards not only acknowledges the professional achievements of women but also underscore their role in fostering positive change within the community. Love, Amelia’s recognition in the Charity/Voluntary category is a testament to our commitment to addressing the critical issue of child poverty in the region.
The award was presented by Paul Callaghan, Deputy Lieutenant for Tyne & Wear and Chair of the Music, Arts & Culture Trust, the distinguished sponsor of the Charity / Volutnary award sponsor.
Love, Amelia was represented at the award ceremony by Amelia’s parents and founders Steph & Phill Capewell.
As Love, Amelia continues to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and families in need, this prestigious award serves as a symbol of our dedication, commitment, and passion for community service.
