Sunderland AFC has once again demonstrated its commitment to the local community, with players and staff donating Easter eggs to Love, Amelia.

As part of their commitment to supporting the local community, The staff and players at Sunderland AFC kindly collected and donated over 100 Easter eggs to Love, Amelia, which were then distributed to families facing hardship.
For many of the children we support, small gestures like this make a huge difference – not just in giving them a treat to enjoy, but in letting them know they are thought of and cared for.
“We are so grateful to the players and staff at Sunderland AFC for their kind donation of Easter eggs to Love, Amelia. Thanks to their support, many children across the North East will receive an egg this Easter, spreading smiles and showing families that they are not alone. This kind of support means so much and helps us reach even more children during times of hardship.”
Steph Capewell - Love, Amelia Founder and CEO
Thanks to generous donations like Sunderland AFC’s – along with contributions from individuals, schools, businesses, and community groups – we were able to distribute over 1,200 Easter eggs to children across the region.
These eggs were included in our Easter packs and gifted to families referred to Love, Amelia. For many facing challenging circumstances, receiving a little treat for their children at Easter means more than just chocolate – it’s a reminder that their community cares.
We’re incredibly grateful to every single person and organisation who donated. Your kindness helped us reach even more families, spreading joy at a time when it’s truly needed.
